La longitud de cada pieza permite que los postes quepan en casi todos los tipos de vehículos, y su peso ligero permite llevar muchos postes al campo con poco esfuerzo. Estos postes han sido diseñados no solo para reducir el peso al transportar el equipo, para facilitar la instalación de una red de niebla, sino también por su bajo precio para motivar al investigador a no cortar arbustos o árboles en crecimiento, para obtener un poste natural, evitando así en su máxima medida su intervención al instalar redes de niebla en el campo.

Para colgar una red, necesita dos (2) juegos. Es decir, para colgar dos redes instaladas en el mismo grupo, se requieren tres (3) juegos, y si las instala por separado, se requieren cuatro (4) juegos.

Puede comprar un poste de extensión adicional para aumentar el sistema de altitud. BIOWEB recomienda una parte adicional (MNET-10-012), manteniendo el equilibrio con cadenas adicionales. Además, cada parte, el poste inferior puntiagudo (MNET-10-011) y el poste de extensión (MNET-10-012), se venden por separado. Para transportar más de una pieza de poste, es posible que desee considerar el estuche de postes mistnet.
