The SkyScan Lightning/Storm Detector Model SS-P5 Is The Most Reliable And Accurate Lightning Detection System Available. Thanks To Its Patented Dual Antenna Technology And Digital Microprocessor, It Can Detect Lightning Up To 40 Miles Away.

With Just The Push Of A Button, SkyScan Detects Lightning And Tracks Its Approach With An Audible Tone And Four LEDs That Indicate Distance In Miles, Informing You If The Storm Is Approaching, Moving Away, Or Traveling Parallel To Your Location.

In Case Of A Severe Storm, SkyScan Alerts You Of Strong Thunderstorms Or Squall Lines By Sounding A Continuous Alarm For 15 Seconds And Illuminating The Severe Storm LED For At Least 15 Minutes, Repeating Every 15 Minutes Until The Severe Weather Clears. It Also Features A Rugged Weather-Resistant Case, Range Select For Audible Alerts, And Battery Save Function. Operates On Six AA Batteries (Not Included). Dimensions: 6.5˝H x 3.1˝W x 1.5˝D.

SkyScan Allows You To Determine The Distance Of Cloud-To-Ground Lightning Strikes During The Formation Or Movement Of A Storm. By Activating The Button Or TONE Function, Each Time SkyScan Detects Lightning, The Unit Emits An Audible Sound And Illuminates One Of The Four Indicators To Confirm The Distance Of The Strike. The Indicator Stays Lit For Approximately 3 Seconds, Allowing The User To See The Distance To The Last Detected Strike Without Waiting For A New Detection.
