    ADC introduced the first commercially available IRGA photosynthesis in the 1970s. However, over the years, the instrumentation has evolved. The new LCpro-T is a laboratory-grade instrument that is highly portable in the field, weighing less than 11 pounds in total and with a battery life of 8 to 16 hours. Its unique IRGA self-calibration system minimizes instrument measurement errors and drift errors, while ensuring it is the easiest-to-use photosynthesis system available.


    • The new LCpro-T, with microclimate control, combines many advantages of the existing LCpro-SD with the latest available science and technology improvements.

      • The LCpro-T reduces or eliminates instrument babysitting while providing a new capability.
      • The development of powerful RGB LEDs allows researchers to approximate solar spectra at different times of the day, or approximate other actinic light spectra, providing more reliable A/Q and A/Ci curves.

      Advantages of the LCpro SD that still exist in the new LCpro T

      • Infrared gas analyzer with automatic zeroing for calibration of each measurement and measurement reliability of +/-1 μmol of CO2.
      • H2O sensors trimmed with lasers for +/- 1 millimole accuracy with no drift and less need for instrument care.
      • Humidity control allowing adjustment of the chamber, not only below ambient but also the unique ability to provide humidity above and near ambient to reduce instrument care and help prevent leaves from becoming inactive under the clamp.
