Optimize your research, ecology, and conservation projects with the Telonics series of terrestrial GPS/Iridium collars. Specifically designed to withstand the most rigorous field challenges and the demands of modern biology, these devices allow you to collect high-precision geographical positions and transmit them in real time from any corner of the planet via the Iridium network's constellation of 66 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
Thanks to their two-way communication architecture, you not only receive mortality alerts, climate data, and activity logs on your screen, but you can also send remote commands to reprogram sampling intervals or activate release mechanisms without the need to recapture the animal. Furthermore, models from the TGW-4270-5 series onward incorporate a space-grade hermetic sealing inside a metal housing—the same technology used by NASA—completely eliminating moisture penetration and guaranteeing the long-term operational success of your scientific campaigns.
