AudioMoth Dev - Full-Spectrum Acoustic Development Board for Environmental Monitoring

The modular development platform for creating custom acoustic monitoring and conservation solutions.

AudioMoth Dev is the development version of the AudioMoth® acoustic monitoring device. This full-spectrum acoustic development board is based on Silicon Labs' Gecko processor range and uses JST-PH connectors to expose useful peripherals for modular expansion. AudioMoth Dev is designed for use with an external battery; this is not included.

Note: This is NOT the standard AudioMoth.

Open Acoustic Devices designs, supports, and deploys open-source acoustic hardware and software for its user community, as well as for its own wildlife and environmental monitoring projects. Its core product is AudioMoth, a low-cost, open-source acoustic monitoring device used in multiple applications, including automating the search for hard-to-find insect species, monitoring poaching via gunshot detection, and listening to ultrasonic bat calls. Their goal is to improve the accessibility and usability of conservation acoustics technology through open science.

Discover MicroMoth, the world's smallest acoustic development board, capable of capturing sounds from audible to ultrasonic frequencies, all in a compact design of 25 x 36 mm and weighing 4 grams.

MicroMoth is the worlds smallest full-spectrum acoustic development board, based on AudioMoth and the Gecko processor range. Just like its namesake the moth, MicroMoth can listen at audible frequencies, well into ultrasonic frequencies. It measures just 25mm x 36mm and weighs 4 grams. It is capable of recording uncompressed audio to microSD card at rates from 8,000 to 384,000 samples per second. It also shares the same supporting software and firmware as AudioMoth.
