    Blume-Leiss ALTImeter dendrometers accurately measure the height of trees by obtaining the angle of elevation between your position and the measured points on the tree. Height measurements are read directly from the altimeter and depend on fixed reference distances of 15m, 20m, 30m and 40m. Each altimeter also features percent/degree conversions and degree/slope correction factors on the back of the instrument.

    A basic, reliable model, the altimeter BL7 Features a single release button and indicator. To begin the tree height calculation, use a tape measure or rangefinder (not included) to determine the baseline distance.

    The reference BL8 It has a built-in rangefinder to determine the distance from the baseline. A single release button and indicator make it easy to measure tree height.

    Then look at the highest point of the tree and then read and record the measured value. Press the release button to release the pendulum and get the measurement of the lowest point. The measured values of the upper and lowermost points are used to determine the height.

    The reference BL6 It has been designed for ease. It incorporates a rangefinder to determine the baseline distance. Two rangefinders in the reference BL60. Two release buttons and indicators allow you to easily scan both the lowest and highest height of the tree and then lock the two separate measurements on the instrument. These two values can be recorded directly and used to calculate the actual height.

    The reference BL9 It has the same features as the BL 6 and BL60 dendrometer but without the rangefinder.
