The CR1000X is a flagship general-purpose datalogger, designed for use in a wide variety of measurement and control applications. The CR1000X is robust enough for use in extreme conditions, with reliability that makes it an excellent choice for remote environmental applications such as weather stations, mesonet systems, wind profiling, air quality monitoring, hydrological systems, water quality monitoring, and hydrometeorological stations.
The CR1000X is a very low-power device that measures sensor signals, controls telecommunications, analyzes data, controls external devices, and stores data and programs in its own non-volatile memory. The electronics are protected against radio frequency interference by a unique sealed stainless steel housing. The internal clock is maintained with a backup battery. It is programmed using the high-level CRBasic language, like all our dataloggers, which allows the implementation of routines for data processing and analysis.
The CR1000X is a low-power electronic device designed to measure sensor signals, manage direct and telecommunications connections, analyze data, control external devices, and with internal non-volatile storage to save data and programs. The electronics are protected from RF interference and failures within a sealed stainless steel cartridge. The clock is safeguarded with an internal backup battery. The CRBasic programming language—common to all Campbell Scientific dataloggers—allows programming for data processing and analysis.
The CR1000X connection panel includes two software-configurable 12 V output terminals, ground terminals distributed across the 16 analog terminals, and removable terminal blocks.

The CR1000X has various input channel types and is compatible with almost all commercially available sensors, including analog (voltage and current), thermocouples, RS232/RS485 serial, SDI-12, pulse, and frequency.
The CR1000X is compatible with all our CDM, SDM, multiplexers, vibrating wire interface, TIMs, and relays.
The CR1000X can communicate with a PC via direct USB connection, 10/100baseT Ethernet, NL241 Wi-Fi, multidrop modems (RS485), telephone modems (landline or cellular), radio, and satellite (Argos, GOES, Meteosat, Iridium, Inmarsat).
Data can also be viewed on-site using the CR1000KD, CD100, CD295 keyboard/displays, mobile/tablet with iOS or Android (and LoggerLink software), or with other third-party devices.
A CR1000X with a power supply is typically assembled inside one of our enclosures.
Any 12 Vdc power supply can power the CR1000X datalogger. Our BPALK, PS150, and PS200 power supplies are commonly used.
Our Campbell Scientific software is needed to program, configure, and communicate with the CR1000X datalogger. Various software options are available depending on the requirements of each application. The most basic and free options are Short Cut and PC200W. Contact us and we will indicate which software is best suited for your application.
