The MIJ-03 Soil Oxygen Sensor is designed for long-term, monitoring of soil or sediment oxygen concentration. Each sensor is individually calibrated for maximum accuracy. Calibration is extremely easy and can be completed in ambient air.
Maintenance of the MIJ-03 Soil Oxygen Sensor is minimal. Once the sensor is installed in the soil, there is no further maintenance. The life-time of the sensor is approximately 5 years when the electrochemical element of the sensor expires.
The MIJ-03 Soil Oxygen Sensor has a voltage output that can be supported by any compatible data logging system. The Edaphic Scientific range of ES-SYS data logging systems, with internet access, can support the MIJ-03 Soil Oxygen Sensor. Or, our scientists and engineers can assist you in connecting the sensor to your existing system.
The MIJ-03 is built from a polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid thermoplastic, that provides long-term stability in harsh environmental conditions. The sensing apparatus is behind a Teflon hydrophobic, gas porous membrane, meaning the MIJ-03 can measure under saturated, flooded and anaerobic conditions. Rainfall and irrigation are no problems for the MIJ-03 Soil Oxygen Sensor.

The electromagnetic sieve shaker keeps the sample in continuous motion, for the best possible sieving results and accurate determination of the granular composition. The sieve shaker and the stainless steel mesh sieves (including receivers and lids) are suitable for both wet and dry sieving.
Note: The granular composition test set is used to analyse coarse fractions of soil samples. To perform a complete analysis or the grain-size of soil samples, the hydrometer set, for smaller fractions, is needed as well.

The Royal Eijkelkamp penetrologger is a versatile instrument for in-situ measurement of soil penetration resistance. This electronic penetrometer comes with a built-in datalogger and memory for up to 1500 measurements.
This lightweight penetrologger of Royal Eijkelkamp is ergonomically designed and can measure up to a depth of 31.4 inch (80 cm). The penetrologger is used to measure the penetration resistance of the soil. The penetration resistance is a means to determine the carrying capacity of the soil and the ease with which roots can grow through the soil. This is important in agricultural, farming, and civil engineering techniques.
With the built-in data logger, the data is easily stored for further processing on your PC. The penetrologger contains an accurate internal GPS system (16 channels GPS receiver) to determine the exact measuring location. The coordinates stored in the penetrologger can be linked to a location or map using software (or less accurately via the Internet). The penetrologger results are displayed in MegaPascals (MPa) and Newtons (N) as a function of depth. The penetrologger also derives the Cone Index (CI).
