The HI98594 is a portable multiparameter logging system (meter and probe) that monitors up to 14 different water quality parameters (7 measured and 7 calculated), such as pH, ORP, turbidity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and temperature. The HI98594 features a backlit graphic display that automatically adjusts the digit size to fit the screen and allows on-screen graphing. Each parameter is fully configurable.
The HI98594 is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and is ideal for field measurements. The meter meets the IP67 standard (30 minutes immersion at a depth of 1 m) and the multisensor probe is fully sealed against water and dust, meeting the IP68 standard (continuous immersion in water). The meter incorporates a dual charging system, using a rechargeable lithium battery and backup alkaline batteries to extend its use in the field.
The meter can log data that is easily downloaded as a CSV file or graph using Bluetooth® wireless technology for the Hanna Lab app on iOS and Android devices, or to a PC via a USB type A to C cable.
The HI98594 can display 1 to 14 parameters on its high-contrast backlit LCD screen. pH, EC (electrical conductivity), and dissolved oxygen (DO) measurements are automatically compensated for temperature variations. Additionally, dissolved oxygen concentration measurements are automatically compensated for barometric pressure and salinity.
The HI98594 allows logging a single data point or performing continuous logging at selected time intervals. All logs can be stored in a named batch and allow adding observations. These functions facilitate the collection of meaningful data, including notes on local environmental conditions.
The meter operates with a built-in lithium-ion battery. When the rechargeable battery is depleted, the meter automatically switches to 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries.
The Quick Calibration function allows for a quick one-point calibration for pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. Standard calibration options are also available, including:
Calibration information is logged along with a timestamp and date. This includes calibration values and other relevant data that may affect measurements. GLP data is stored along with the logged data.
Bluetooth® 5.0 Connectivity and Hanna Lab App Compatibility
The HI98594 allows wireless connection with smart devices via the Hanna Lab App. Through the app, log batches can be emailed or downloaded for review.
Logs can be shared as .CSV or PDF files.
Complete GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) data can be reviewed for all parameters when the logged data is downloaded to a smart device.
When reviewing data on a smart device, there is an option to select the measurement units to be displayed regardless of the meter's configuration.
For trend analysis, the Hanna Lab App offers the option to graph the logged data.
The HI7698594 is delivered with pre-installed sensors for pH/ORP, EC/Turbidity, and optical dissolved oxygen.
Sensor replacement is quick and easy thanks to field-replaceable screw-type connectors, color-coded for easy identification. These meters automatically recognize the connected sensors.
The optical dissolved oxygen sensor uses a smart cap that features an RFID tag that stores unique calibration coefficients for each cap. The RFID tracks the cap's lifespan and alerts the user when it needs to be replaced.
