Telonics Product Programmer (TPP)

The Telonics Product Programmer (TPP) is a powerful software tool designed to program Telonics transmitters and CR-5 and CR-7 collar release mechanisms. Several versions of TPP exist, which are detailed below in the Obtaining TPP section.

The Telonics Product Programmer requires an authorization code to be fully functional. Without this code, it will not be possible to program transmitters or release mechanisms. It is possible to install and evaluate TPP before purchasing a license, which allows you to test different programming scenarios and switch between predefined auxiliary schedules.

Obtaining TPP

When you purchase TPP, you will receive an authorization code that enables compatibility with specific Telonics product models. TPP will not program models for which you do not hold a license. If you require additional compatibility, you will need to purchase a new code or upgrade to a version that includes all models. A Telonics license allows you to run TPP on only one computer at a time.

System Requirements

• Runs on computers with Windows 7 or later.
• TSC-9A Smart Cable and adapters depending on the product:
  • CN008351-001: for GEN4 GPS, Argos, and VHF units.
  • CN006977-001: for the CR-5 release.
  • CN009813-001: for the CR-7 release.

Argos Services Configuration

If you use the Telonics Data Converter (TDC) to convert your data, please request the following technical file configuration from Argos:

• 32 8-bit sensors for Argos IDs less than 32768; 31 8-bit sensors for all other IDs.
• Variable message length (do not check for fixed length).
• Decimal/A1 format (recommended) or Hexadecimal/A2 format.
• It is recommended to use the ArgosDirect service with "DS" data format and output to a text file (.txt). Do not request encryption.
