    AudioMoth v1.2.0 redefines wildlife monitoring with its new MEMS microphone, ultra-fast recording, and optimized performance with 3 AA batteries.

    AudioMoth v1.2.0 is an open-source acoustic monitoring device used to monitor wildlife. AudioMoth is sensitive to both audible sounds and ultrasonic frequency range. It records uncompressed audio from 8000 to 384,000 samples per second on a micro SD card. AudioMoth 1.2.0 has an updated audio front end with reduced self noise, support for external microphones, and an updated internal microphone.

    Battery Life

    The AudioMoth configuration app uses the given recording settings and periods to calculate the device's approximate power consumption in milliamp-hours (mAh) and storage consumption in bytes per day.
