During the development of the Ambient Sound Fish, the focus was on high sound quality with the best possible handling.

It was important to us to offer a linear, low-distortion frequency response from 10 Hz to 40 kHz. This allows the ASF-1 MKII to record far into the infra- and ultrasound range. The ASF-1 MKII was specially developed by us for use with professional audio equipment. Therefore, it works directly and without an adapter on a microphone input with 48V phantom power without additional external power supply.

Waterproof up to 100 meters

The underwater microphone is made from high-quality aluminum bronze and can easily withstand pressures up to a water depth of 100 m. At the same time, all materials used, from the PUR sensor encapsulation to the special polyurethane cable, are characterized by exceptionally good saltwater resistance.

The delivery includes a 10 m long underwater cable with a molded AHS underwater connector. This allows the ASF-1 MKII to be used directly and without additional accessories. Further cable lengths are available on request at any time.
