Air-Powered Elastomer Injection System: Fast, Fatigue-Free Tagging

Advanced system for precise and efficient tagging of aquatic species using Visible Implant Elastomer (VIE) tags, designed to reduce hand fatigue and improve efficiency in large-scale projects.

If you have thousands of fish to tag, we recommend considering our Air-Powered Elastomer Injection System. This system uses a pulse of compressed air to push the elastomer from the injection syringe, helping to reduce hand fatigue during extended tagging sessions.

The system includes the main control box, handpiece, and all the supplies required to inject VIE tags. A VI light is included with the injector to assist in detecting the tags. The user must provide a compressed air supply with a minimum pressure of 60 psi.

The injector operates using a credit-based system. When you purchase supplies for use with this system, you also receive a token that enables the machine to operate for the number of tags purchased (plus an additional allowance for setup and testing). More than enough VIE material is provided for the number of tags purchased. As a result, customers pay per tag rather than for the quantity of material supplied.

The Air-Powered Elastomer Injection System is being used to inject yellow Visible Implant Elastomer (VIE) tags into the transparent tissue behind the eye of a Rainbow Trout.
