The K-B Heavy Corer with Case is your specialized tool for collecting sediment and fauna samples in deep water, especially at the water-bottom interface. Its design, optimized for obtaining samples of mobile benthic organisms like Tubificidae, incorporates a valve that remains open during descent, preventing pressure waves that might alert fauna. The messenger-activated closure allows you to control exactly when to capture the sample. This heavy version offers better penetration into compact substrates and comes fully equipped with a messenger, a 100-foot line, a rigid carrying case, and a liner kit.
