This Beta series Van Dorn-style sampler is designed so that no metal parts touch your sample, making it excellent for near-shore trace metal sampling (up to 200 m). You will avoid the metallic ion contamination that can cause major errors in algal assays or productivity studies. Beta bottles feature rigid, white plastic end seals and foam silicone gaskets for a clean, secure closure. Amber latex tubing, which does not leach measurable amounts of metal, is used to close the bottle.
You can choose between the transparent acrylic model to view the sample instantly or the more durable opaque PVC model. Its wide-mouth design also makes it ideal for you to collect plankton and floating sediments. For general-purpose analysis, we recommend our Alpha series samplers.
NOTE: Volume may vary slightly. We recommend that you verify the exact volume of your bottle prior to each use.
