Acrylic Design for Efficient Enumeration of Zooplankton and Microcrustaceans

Developed in collaboration with the Great Lakes Laboratory, the Bogorov counting chamber is a cost-effective tool designed for accurate enumeration of zooplankton microcrustaceans. Manufactured from molded acrylic, its compact 8.9 × 11.4 cm (89 × 114 mm) design slides easily beneath a dissecting microscope. Straight channel walls eliminate the need for constant refocusing, while curved edges prevent specimens from becoming trapped, allowing faster and more reliable counting.

The chamber is available in two sizes to accommodate different sample volumes. The Classic model is ideal for small samples of approximately 6 mL, while the Modified model is designed for larger sample volumes of approximately 39 mL.
