BioQuip Malaise Trap Bottom Collector

The bottom collector is made to fit with this trap in order to sample species (e.g. some Coleoptera) that fold their wings and drop after striking an obstacle. It is made of black Polyester (96 x 26 mesh/square inch) with a coarse mesh 1.4" x 1.4" grid (3.6 cm) on top to prevent large leaves and twigs from clogging the 500 ml polyethylene collecting bottle, 2 bottles with lids are supplied with the bottom collector. Funnel dimensions are 39 x 39 x 39" (100 cm). Weight is .68 lb. (310 grams).
