The Walkabout portable bat detector uses a profile system that gives you quick access to customizable settings for different applications. You can lock your settings and export your profiles to other Walkabout detectors. With the touch of a button, you can switch the Walkabout from a "listening" heterodyne detector to a detector optimized for collecting annotated full-spectrum reference calls.
A 5″ color touchscreen displays full-spectrum and zero-crossing calls in real time, allowing you to monitor and tag your files in the field.
In addition to real-time sonogram visualization, you can switch to basic mode, which displays minimal information for users who find a live screen distracting.
Managing your recordings is simple, as everything is saved to a memory card, with an integrated file system for viewing, playback, and species tagging.
The portable Walkabout includes an omnidirectional microphone with a directional cone accessory to reduce ambient noise. It records high-quality files (500 ksps) above 200 kHz. Save written notes or voice memos, along with temperature, humidity, and ambient light measurements.
The hand strap, lanyard, and ergonomic design make active detection comfortable for extended periods. An integrated GPS and mapping system allows you to tag your calls and record your route as you move.
We also offer a directional microphone with an adapter that can be purchased separately; to find out whether a directional microphone is suitable for your study.

The Argos PTT Locator helps you recover even a single PTT — saving nearly the value of three locators in one recovery.
Now you can locate your ARGOS PTTs within just a few meters. Retrieve discharged PTTs and save data service fees, or reuse dropped transmitters or those found on deceased animals while potentially determining the cause of mortality. For live animals, visually pinpoint the exact location, habits, interactions with other animals, possible mates, or nesting sites. You can also use the receiver to verify that your PTTs are functioning before deployment.
No ARGOS assistance is required, allowing recovery even when the uplink path to ARGOS is weak. The range covers several kilometers. The device uses a highly sensitive, synthesized receiver programmed to scan the entire ARGOS band from 401.610 MHz in 2.5 kHz steps. It measures the incoming signal strength of the “lost” PTT and converts it into an audible tone, providing 0.5 dB resolution across a 120 dB range.
A rugged, highly directional Yagi antenna is included. This allows you to point the antenna in different directions, compare signal strength readings once per minute, and walk toward the direction of the highest reading to locate the PTT. It is very easy to use, with the receiver in your pocket and the Yagi antenna in one hand. When road access is available, the supplied omnidirectional antenna allows you to drive close to the PTT’s location. A headphone jack is provided for clearer listening if desired. The receiver also covers all Ground Track (GT) frequencies if your PTT supports this feature.
The AL-1 is a complete kit with everything you need to find your PTT.

| Operating Environment | 60G millimeter-wave radar sensing system: Supports all-weather obstacle avoidance for glass, water, wires, buildings, and trees in 6 directions. Its obstacle avoidance distance varies with the obstacle's ability to reflect electromagnetic waves and its surface size. 24G millimeter-wave radar sensing system: Supports downward sensing, and its sensing range varies by the ground material. For example, the sensing range of cement ground is 20 meters, and the sensing range of grass with a thickness of more than 3 cm is less than 10 meters. |
| Aircraft Version Limitations* | In order to comply with the regulations of the country or region where the target market is located, aircraft bottom millimeter-wave radars in some markets use the 24G frequency band, and the five directions of front, rear, left, right, and top use the 60G frequency band. Among them, the 24G version of the aircraft has turned off the 60G radar function in the five directions of front, rear, left, right, and top in the flight control software before leaving the factory, and only turned on the bottom 24G radar for assisted landing. The 24G version of the aircraft only supports visual obstacle avoidance under good lighting conditions and does not support the millimeter-wave radar obstacle avoidance function at night. |
