Pneu-Dart Type P disposable Slo-Inject® Remote Drug Delivery (RDD) darts are designed for use with CO₂ or air-powered Pneu-Dart projectors. They provide a safe, accurate, and efficient solution for remote veterinary drug administration in livestock, wildlife, and other large or small animals. The system allows professionals to deliver medication from a distance while minimizing animal stress and improving safety during handling procedures.
Each dart features Pneu-Dart’s patented Slo-Inject® technology. Upon impact with the animal, a small internal charge activates, rapidly delivering the medication contained in the dart. A visible flash upon impact confirms the injection has been successfully delivered. This reliable mechanism helps ensure effective dosing while providing immediate visual feedback to the operator.
The dart body is constructed from durable polycarbonate resin, offering improved strength and consistent flight characteristics. The darts are color coded for quick identification in the field and are engineered to replicate stable flight performance when used with compatible Pneu-Dart projectors.
To enhance injection efficiency, optional Tri-Port cannulas distribute medication both laterally and through the needle tip. Darts may also include a gelatin collar or a wire barb retention system. Gelatin collars securely hold the dart in place during injection and naturally dissolve after several minutes, allowing the dart to safely fall away from the animal.
Proper cannula length selection is critical for effective treatment. Pneu-Dart recommends a ½" cannula for subcutaneous injections and a 1" or longer cannula for intramuscular injections in cattle, cervids, and other large species. Consultation with a veterinarian is recommended to determine the appropriate cannula length and medication dosage for each application.

TeleDart® dart syringes are manufactured from a special blend of lightweight, impact-resistant medical-grade plastics and polymers, providing outstanding mechanical strength and excellent stability under demanding environmental conditions. Each syringe includes a flight stabilizer that contributes to a stable trajectory and consistent field performance.
Their one-piece construction ensures optimized aerodynamics, excellent barrel guidance, and accurate results even at long distances. They are compatible with TeleDart® pistols and rifles as well as compatible equipment from other manufacturers.
The material does not absorb moisture, preventing deformation, warping, or brittleness during long-term storage. This allows the syringe to maintain a precise barrel fit even after extended storage periods and under extreme weather conditions.
Each syringe incorporates a needle receptacle designed to provide excellent needle retention and secure attachment during use. Needle safety caps are not included.
The 11 mm barrel syringes are available in 0.5 cc, 1 cc, 1.5 cc, 2 cc, 3 cc, 5 cc, 7 cc, and 10 cc capacities. The 13 mm barrel models are available in 1 cc, 2 cc, 3 cc, 5 cc, 7 cc, 10 cc, 15 cc, and 20 cc capacities.
When used with original TeleDart® needles, a reliable seal is achieved. Each syringe undergoes strict quality and performance testing to ensure consistent operation. When handled properly, they can be reused many times, making them an economical solution for long-term research and monitoring programs.
