AudioMoth v1.2.0 is an open-source acoustic monitoring device used to monitor wildlife. AudioMoth is sensitive to both audible sounds and ultrasonic frequency range. It records uncompressed audio from 8000 to 384,000 samples per second on a microSD card. AudioMoth 1.2.0 has an updated audio front end with reduced self noise, support for external microphones, and an updated internal microphone.
The AudioMoth configuration app uses the given recording settings and periods to calculate the device's approximate power consumption in milliamp-hours (mAh) and storage consumption in bytes per day.
Note: Batteries, microSD card, and USB cable not included.

The HydroMoth is a submersible acoustic recorder designed to capture sound in aquatic environments at depths of up to 60 meters. Based on the popular AudioMoth platform, it offers uncompressed WAV recording directly to a microSD card, allowing precise analysis of the captured sound. Its polycarbonate housing with a Velcro strap ensures durability and easy field attachment. It operates with 3 AA batteries and is ideal for monitoring marine wildlife, studying underwater noise, or conducting aquatic conservation research.
The AudioMoth underwater case was specifically designed for the HydroMoth and the AudioMoth version 1.2.0 (without the 3.5 mm connector). Other versions of the AudioMoth fit inside the case, but we recommend version 1.2.0 to minimize self-noise in recordings. The case is made of injection-molded polycarbonate and comes with an adjustable Velcro strap, making AudioMoth attachment simple and easy. Unlike the original AudioMoth case, this one does not include an acoustic membrane. The case is compact, highly durable, and will protect the AudioMoth for long periods of time at depths ranging from 30 to 60 m.

MicroMoth is the worlds smallest full-spectrum acoustic development board, based on AudioMoth and the Gecko processor range. Just like its namesake the moth, MicroMoth can listen at audible frequencies, well into ultrasonic frequencies. It measures just 25mm x 36mm and weighs 4 grams. It is capable of recording uncompressed audio to microSD card at rates from 8,000 to 384,000 samples per second. It also shares the same supporting software and firmware as AudioMoth.
