The GRIGRI 2 assisted-braking belay device is designed to make belaying maneuvers easier. The GRIGRI 2 works for both lead belaying and top-rope climbing. It can be used with all dynamic single ropes ranging from 8.9 to 11 mm (optimized for 9.4 to 10.3 mm ropes). Compact and lightweight, the GRIGRI 2 will accompany you for years, enabling you to climb any wall worldwide. The GRIGRI 2 features a design that allows excellent control during descent.

- Identical handling to a classic belay system: belaying is done with both hands on the rope. Arresting a fall is achieved by holding the free end of the rope on the brake side.
- Assisted braking: when arresting a fall, the belayer holds the free end, the cam rotates, pinching the rope, and increasing the braking action to stop the rope.
- The GRIGRI 2 has a design that allows excellent control during descent. One hand holds the rope, and the other unlocks the cam using the handle. This patented handle allows the locking to occur progressively. Combined with strong cam braking, it provides a great sense of security when descending with a partner or rappelling.
- The GRIGRI 2 is compact and very light at 170 g.
- Construction with a braking plate and a stainless steel cam ensures a long lifespan.
- Used with single ropes from 8.9 to 11 mm (optimized for ropes between 9.4 and 10.3 mm).
